With a pH of 2.1\u2014comparable to lemon juice\u2014its strong acidity stimulates the skin and, with a rich 155.4\u202fmg\/L of metasilicic acid, is known to promote metabolism and skin health. Adjacent to the lodge is cafe &amp; activity nowhere, where guided trekking and hands-on nature programs are available. Among the most popular is the Extreme Onsen tour. Guests hike to the source of Numajiri Onsen, Numajiri Motoyu, and soak in a natural outdoor hot spring formed by the surrounding environment\u2014a completely unique onsen experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>This tour is held annually from May to November. There are two departures each day \u2014 a morning session (9:00\u201312:00) and an afternoon session (13:00\u201316:00). Joining the morning tour allows you to enjoy a more relaxed afternoon after descending the mountain.
