It opened in April 2022 with the concept of “a stylish aquarium close to daily life.” Although it is situated inside a department store in front of the station with excellent access, stepping inside reveals a refined space that lets you forget everyday life. It is loved by locals and tourists as a new landmark of Shizuoka City, combining the ease of casually dropping by while shopping or dining with state-of-the-art exhibition techniques.

The interior is divided into multiple areas such as “NIGIWAI” and “ELEGANCE,” each featuring spatial production based on a different theme. Every detail, from the layout of the tanks to the lighting and background music, has been carefully crafted, allowing visitors to observe aquatic life as if strolling through an art museum.
A key feature is being able to enjoy the natural forms of the creatures—such as the vivid colors of tropical fish and the mystical movements of jellyfish—within a stylish space. There are many photogenic spots, creating a refined atmosphere where any angle makes a picture-perfect shot.

Detailed explanations of the creatures can be viewed using panels inside the facility or your own smartphone, allowing you to learn thoroughly at your own pace.
The top recommendation is taking time to sit on a bench and relax while watching the gracefully swimming fish. Stepping away from the bustle of daily life, you can enjoy a healing moment. In addition, experiential programs such as the “Backyard Tour” where you can see behind the scenes of the aquarium (held irregularly) and explanations of creatures by the staff are well-developed, stimulating curiosity in both adults and children. A museum shop is also attached inside, where choosing original cute plush toys or souvenirs that can only be bought here is another pleasure.
