Cafe kokorade is a hidden cafe located in the Umegashima Onsen area at the northern end of Shizuoka City. This area is surrounded by beautiful nature. The cafe used to be in the city center at Hitoyadocho, but it moved to this mountain area called Okushizu. It still has the same warm atmosphere, but now you can relax and look at the changing seasons of the mountains through the windows.
The shop is in a high place near the start of the Abe River. There are many historic hot spring hotels nearby. With fresh air and the sound of the river, it feels like a secret place. When you enter the shop, first check the daily sweets. The most popular choice is the fruit tart, which changes every season. The crunchy crust and fresh fruit go perfectly with the hand-drip coffee. On a sunny day, we recommend having your tea time on the terrace to enjoy the fresh air of Umegashima.
After relaxing at the cafe, it is a great idea to walk to Akamizu Falls nearby. You can see the powerful 50-meter waterfall and feel the cool mist.
